In the Open competition, the gold medallists were Paul Couldridge and Julia Jarvis. The full results will follow shortly, but in the meantime the photos are online. Tuesday 13 December 2011 Final Details for this year's race can now be downloaded here. Pre-entries are open until midnight this evening Sunday 18 December 2011 at Fabian4. After that you can enter at the event subject to map availability (good at the moment). *** There is no support for v8/v9 timing cards at this event, so please ask for a free replacement card if you own one of these. The Brighton City Race is an annual running and navigation race with electronic control points. These need to be visited in the order shown on a map that competitors receive at the Start. It's an adventure race unique to Brighton and you can run individually or as a pair or team. No previous experience is needed. Assembly and the Start/Finish are on the lower floor of the Churchill Square NCP car park. However, the routes will only be revealed at the Start. A small torch or headtorch would be useful, but the route is under streetlights for the whole course. There are four different challenges ranging from 4.2km to 8.8km distance. Medals will be presented to the top three fastest finishers in the Men's and Women's classes: Open, Vets, Super Vets and Ultra Vets. Thursday 3 November 2011 Fees for this year are £7 which includes SI card hire if needed. Juniors under 21 will receive a £2 entry refund on the night. Juniors under 16 may take part in the event but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Accompanying adults are free of charge, though neither junior nor adult will be eligible for a medal should they finish in the top 3. Juniors U16 should enter via Fabian4, and email the organiser with the name of their co-runner. Sunday 30 October 2011 The draft courses have produced the following (provisional) course lengths:

Sunday 2 October 2011 Congratulations to last year's Brighton City Race winner Tessa Hill who finished fourth in today's PostFinance World Cup Sprint Final in Switzerland.
